Grew up in Austin. Had some jobs and went to School, eventually graduating from UT with a business degree. Such a wrong degree for me, but I got some things out of it. After college I worked at a pizza place for a bit (awful job). Quit that and ended up at Waterloo Brewing Co. I conquered alcoholism in 1999 (while working as a bartender there!).
The bar closed down, which was sad, I had many friends there, but I took it as a chance to change. So I worked at a cell phone company for a while. The pay was lower than bartending and the job sucked, but it was for my resume.
I moved to Seattle and into an apartment with a roommate. I met Leslie, who is my wife. So, clearly we got married.
Went back to school and am pretty happy with my job now. I work in the Angiography Department of a major Hospital. Good pay, four tens (every weekend is a three-day weekend), good co-workers, good boss.
I love to read. My latest trend is to read only stuff that is tried and true through the years. No current bestsellers (which are usually pretty stupid). No fad authors. Generally no genre fiction, though a classic can slip in there.
If such claims are valid, then favorite band is the Beatles.
